BIOGRAPHY: OMAR SHERIF
Omar Sharif was born in an renowned musician family in Kabul. Greatly
supported and sponsored by his uncle Habib Sharif a legendary musician of
the time, at the age five he first began singing and playing keyboards and
harmoniums on stage with his uncle Habib Sharif. His first CD that he sang
at age 7 with Habib Sharif was named “Aroosi” became very famous and
successful. Especially with the song within the album named “Ma Dismal
Awardem.”
Since he was a young boy, Omar has had a vision of becoming a great musician
and singer. Omar believes that in order to be a potent singer one must be
able to master the art of music. Omar’s passion is encouraged and inspired
by the audience that he sings to. Using the inspiration from the crowd, he
continuously becomes more determined to entertain the crowd with his music.
This encouragement ignited in this young boy a lasting passion for music.
His keyboarding skills excelled continuously with his ultimate motive to
become the best keyboardist amongst his rivals around the world. After many
years of practice Omar’s talent had granted him much fame throughout the
years at such a young age even now. He developed quite a place amongst the
hearts of many. He furthered his training with the support of his uncle and
father and excelled until he became a musician of his own. The first CD he
choreographed was the joint CD "Hina" in 2001 by Habib Sharif, Omar Sharif
and Rameen Sharif. Hina became a great success as soon as it hit the markets
globally with amazing feed back. We thank everyone and appreciate all the
support. From the great motives generated from the first successful CD, Omar
played the keyboard and arranged the music together with his brother to
produce Rameen’s solo CD in 2002 named “Nazdeek”. This album gained
incredible recognition in all countries especially in Afghanistan.
Furthermore, this great hit provoked Omar and Rameen to create “Wedding
Dance” which was encouraged by their fans. Wedding Dance was the third joint
album, which included many amazing dance hits just for party enthusiast.
After creating so many successful CD’s, Omar decided to take his music to
the next level by recording one of their amazing Live Concerts in 2004 on
DVD for everyone to experience. Now in 2005, Omar and Rameen decided to
combine their full focus on a new Double CD that separated their musical
themes into two CD’s one for Dance, and the other for the Ghazal enthusiast.
Being their fifth and sixth CD on the market, it is obvious to see the
length and efforts that the Sharif brothers have put into their music and
continue to create. However, it is imperative to state that Sharif Music
Studio could not have gone this far without to continuous support of their
fans.
** After so many years, Rameen and Omar Sharif proudly presents their launch
of a new Music Video that will level the markets very soon. Now, Omar is now
very busy with his studies and his music production within Sharif Music
Studios.
